Editorial Intern 

Overview:

Contribute to the editorial efforts of ADEX and Asian Geographic Magazine, a leading publication dedicated to culture, travel, and environmental issues. Gain hands-on experience in research, writing, and editing for both print and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Writing and Research

• Write articles, features, and event coverage for ADEX and Asian Geographic.

• Conduct research and interviews for editorial content, including features related to ocean conservation, culture, and expeditions.

2. Editing and Proofreading

• Assist in proofreading articles, newsletters, and promotional materials for grammar, tone, and accuracy.

• Provide fact-checking and ensure consistency with the publication’s editorial style guide.

3. Content Management

• Help manage digital platforms, including uploading articles and maintaining the Asian Geographic website.

• Assist in creating and scheduling content for e-newsletters and blogs.

4. Social Media Support

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create content for social media platforms, including captions and post concepts.

• Engage in audience interaction through polls, quizzes, or interactive posts.

5. Event Coverage

• Attend ADEX events to gather content, conduct interviews, and write event summaries for post-event publications.

• Provide editorial support for event programs, scripts, and speaker profiles.

Requirements:

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.

• Skills:

• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress).

• Basic photography or videography skills are a plus.

• Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Singapore.

• Attitude: Passionate about storytelling, environmental issues, and cultural topics. Proactive and eager to learn.

Design Intern

Overview:

Join the creative team behind ADEX (Asia Dive Expo), Asia’s premier dive event, to develop your design skills while working on high-impact marketing materials, event branding, and visual storytelling. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a global platform with a mission to promote ocean conservation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Graphic Design and Visual Content Creation

• Assist in designing marketing materials, including social media graphics, event posters, videos, brochures, and website banners.

• Create visuals that align with ADEX’s branding guidelines and event themes.

• Support the design of on-site branding elements, such as signage and stage backdrops.

2. Digital and Social Media Content

• Collaborate with the marketing team to produce eye-catching graphics for social media campaigns.

• Develop short animations, GIFs, or other digital content as needed.

3. Branding Support

• Ensure consistent visual identity across all materials.

• Update and refine existing designs for new campaigns and event cycles.

4. Creative Collaboration

• Work closely with the design team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to brainstorm creative ideas for campaigns.

• Support the conceptualization and execution of event-themed artwork.

5. Administrative and Event Support

• Assist in preparing files for printing and liaising with vendors when needed.

• Provide on-site event support during ADEX Ocean Festival Singapore (April 4-6, 2025, Suntec Singapore).

Requirements:

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

• Basic knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Capcut, Canva) is a plus.

• Strong creative and aesthetic sense, with attention to detail.

• Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Singapore.

• Attitude: Proactive, creative, and enthusiastic about contributing to ocean conservation and ADEX’s mission.
