ADEX is celebrated for more than two decades in Asia since its inception in 1995, the 25th edition of Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) – the largest, and the longest-running dive show in Asia – is driven and organized by the Underwater360 group.

Scuba Diver is the leading publication for all diving enthusiasts, working in collaboration with the world’s best underwater photographers and journalists, Explore our fascinating oceans, receive diving guides and tips, and learn about conservation issues as Scuba Diver delves into the underwater world.

Asian Diver was created in 1992 for the serious diver who understands the challenging lure of the deep blue. Decades on, Asian Diver – the Official Publication of the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) – has become a brand known around the world for its penetrating and unique insights into the world’s richest dive regions. Aimed at industry leaders that include dive agencies, equipment manufacturers, dive operators and especially those working on the ground – our intrepid instructors and dive leaders – the magazine strives to create a community committed to preserving the sport so well loved the world over.

DESIGN INTERN

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of design of collaterals for magazines, fliers, promotions and events
• Assist in editing of videos
• Ad hoc design related duties as assigned

Pre-requisite

• Must know inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, video editing software

Requirements

• Motivated individual who can multi task in team setting and also work independently when needed
• IMPORTANT: This position is only open to local Singaporean STUDENTS seeking an internship.

Events and Marketing Manager

Key Job Scope (Events)

• Work closely with the clients to identify the clients’ needs and expectations
• Engage contractors to deliver good design concepts and design proposals
• Responsible for planning and project execution – monitor and inspect the progress of the project to ensure that it is being implemented based on good quality, finishings and standards, and that project is on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate with different trade contractors on their work schedules and ensure that safety management system is implemented on site at all time
• Attend to and resolve all site issues
• Upon completion of the project, analyse and scrutinize details as well as compile defects checklist and all other necessary documents and certifications for handover to clients so as to bring the project to a closure
• Arrange and prepare agenda / minutes for meetings, compile weekly reports including post events report, etc.

Key Job Scope (Marketing)

• Coordinate with sales/marketing and editorial teams on special design promotional materials
• Oversee web design with website creation and social media platforms to create awareness and direct traffic to the target audience
• Support web design to update websites and social media platforms on a regular basis, according to directions set by the editorial and sales teams, so as to harness marketing and advertising sales opportunities and/or enhance the benefits of readers’ interests
• Plan and implement creative strategies and promotional materials to further improve Company’s branding and image
• Engage key clients and potential partners for branding and sponsorship

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Business or related discipline, preferably with marketing specialization
• Minimum 4 relevant working experience, preferably with strong events management experience

Other Qualities:

• Independent and highly driven
• Strong communication and written abilities, preferably bilingual in English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese clients
• Excellent team player with strong leadership quality
• Highly organized and strong ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Possess strong ability to generate creative solutions given limited resources / environmental constraints
• Has an eye for details and the ability to carry out detailed analysis and derived appropriate recommendations and conclusions
• Work well under stress and tight timeline as well as adaptable to working with different cultures
• Able to work well in a matrix structure environment
• Able to travel
